Classroom teachers who have taught our textbooks have prepared each
teaching guide. The guides contain student learning objectives, grading
sheets (rubrics) for each major writing assignment, teaching
techniques, suggested answers for sentence combining exercises,
suggested possible answers for open-ended assignments, and additional
writing activities.
The guides explain all the key principles of The Stack the Deck Writing Program,
ranging from teaching all stages of the writing process to portfolios,
and discuss the interrelationship of these principles. Especially
useful are frequent "hints," each based on actual classroom experience.
The guides DO NOT contain the student book.
