Computer software programs are available for Check the Deck, Flip the Deck, Tap the Deck, Open the Deck, Cut the Deck, and Stack the Deck for all supported word processors on Macintosh, Windows, and MS-DOS computers.

Activity files deal with sentence combining, rearranging, subtracting, and expanding-skills that are often difficult to do on paper but ones that make word processing famous. Write activities take an assignment through the entire writing process--narrative, persuasive, and expository.

Important Note When Ordering:

All our titles come on a Mac/Windows 3.5" disk. MS-DOS titles are also available on a 3.5" disk. Our software programs work with the following word processors:

  • Macintosh: ClarisWorks, MacWrite II, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Works, and Media Weaver

  • Windows: ClarisWorks, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Works, Word Perfect, and Media Weaver

  • MS-DOS: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Works, Word Perfect

Hardware Requirements

To install titles using Write On!, one computer at your site must have the following hardware requirement. After initial installation of a title, the only hardware requirements are those of your word processor.

Macintosh

  • System 7.1 or above
  • 1MB -3.5 MB of hard disk space per installed title
Windows
  • Windows 3.1 or above
  • 1 MB-3.5 MB of hard disk space per installed drive
